GREGG MEYER, PGA
Director of Golf
Gregg Meyer, a PGA Professional and Director of Golf at Woodstone Country Club, is a lifelong Lehigh Valley native who grew up in Bath, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Northampton Area High School, Gregg enjoyed a decorated junior career, winning back-to-back District XI Championships, two East Penn Conference titles, and the Pennsylvania American Legion Junior Championship. He also competed in the Pennsylvania State Championship three times and was named Easton Express-Times Player of the Year in both his junior and senior seasons.
Following high school, Gregg continued his academic and athletic career at Jacksonville State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. As a four-year member of the Division I golf team, he played a key role in helping Jacksonville State capture the 1996 TAAC Conference Championship.
After graduating in 1999, Gregg pursued a professional playing career for five years, competing on various tours across the United States. During that time, he played in two PGA Tour events and spent three seasons on the NGA Hooters Tour. Along the way, he competed regularly alongside future PGA Tour winners such as Zack Johnson, Bubba Watson, Sean O’Hair, Josh Teater, and Vaughn Taylor.
Gregg began his professional career in the golf industry working at premier facilities including Lake Nona Country Club and Falcons Fire Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. In 2005, he transitioned fully into the golf profession, accepting an Assistant Professional position at Riverview Country Club. During this time, he also expanded his teaching experience, spending winters in Arizona and Florida as a Certified Head Instructor with John Jacobs Golf Schools and Advantage Golf Schools.
In 2009, Gregg was named Head Golf Professional at Woodstone Country Club, where he has been instrumental in growing the club’s golf operations and member experience. In 2019, he was promoted to Director of Golf. That same year, he was inducted into the Lehigh Valley Golf Hall of Fame, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the game.
A Class A PGA Member since 2007, Gregg achieved PGA Certified Professional status in 2018, demonstrating his commitment to continued education and excellence in the golf industry. He remains an active competitor, participating in local Pocono Pro-Ams and Philadelphia Section PGA events, and notably qualified for and competed in the PGA National Club Professional Championship in 2009.
While Gregg’s career has provided him with extensive experience alongside some of the game’s top players, instructors, and professionals, his greatest strength lies in his passion for the game and dedication to delivering an exceptional experience. Each day, he works closely with members and guests to ensure Woodstone Country Club continues to live up to its reputation as one of the premier golf experiences in the region.
